Field Service Engineer

Reports to West Coast Field Service Engineering Manager

Core Responsibilities:

·        Perform installations, preventative maintenance and remedial repair maintenance on complex electro-mechanical semiconductor capital equipment at global customer locations.

·        Create and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through advanced customer service skills, implementing fast quality responses to both internal and external customers while maintaining a safety first mentality.

·        Develop action plans for problem resolution and present to internal and external customers.

·        Develop improvements for processes, hardware and software for continuous improvement of company’s equipment / business operation.

·        Complete detailed Field Service Reports and submit to management in a timely manner.

·        Document issues that cannot immediately be resolved at customer site by using appropriate format.

·        Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

5 + years field service/customer support experience of sophisticated, complex precision equipment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, electrical / electronic mechanical engineering.
  • Must possess basic troubleshooting techniques in repairing complex microprocessor controlled electro-mechanical systems.
  • Well-able to read and interpret electronic/electro-mechanical schematics and drawings.
  • Outstanding and extremely professional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with hand tools.
  • Knowledge in any of the following areas is a PLUS: Experience working in a FAB facility, closed loop communications control, electro-mechanical controls or microprocessor based controllers, chemical handling including acids, FAB safely requirements or practices.

Responsibilities:

·        Accountable for the operation of the chemical handling including but not limited to safety, supply, inventory process, waste streams in company’s manufacturing facility.

·        Lab and Clean Room Safety accountability.

·        R&D and Production equipment calibrations and test equipment installations.

·        Relevant correspondence regarding survey requests, conflict minerals, SDS translations, off shore custom requirements for international branch offices.

·        Ensure OSHA, EPA, Safety and other documents are updated.

·        Comply with Insurance, State, NEAP, ISO 9001 Audits.

Requirements:

·        BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required. MS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred.

·        Minimum 10 years’ experience in safely/environmental chemical facilities management required.

Qualifications:

·        3- 5 years of precision design experience preferably in equipment used in the semiconductor industry.

Senior Research Chemist – ICP Expert

Reports to Senior Research Chemist, Team Lead

Core Responsibilities:

·        Develop a deep knowledge of all ECI products, applications and analytical techniques

·        Develop new analytical methods using including ICP-AES and ICP-MS

·        Perform experimental work and product management responsibilities

·        Prepare reports on developments, document methods for release to customers

·        Work with engineering team towards design and develop of commercial analyzers

·        Test analyzing equipment

·        Support equipment and/or chemical troubleshooting activities of service department

·        Travel to customer sites (domestic and international) for new applications qualifications, support or technical training when required

·        Implement Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in an analytical lab

·        Submit weekly written reports

·        Assist management with special projects as required

Qualifications:

·        M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry   

·        Minimum 5 years of work experience with ICP/IC/HPLC/UPLC method development representing 50% of work load or Ph.D. in this area  

·        ICP experience is a must

·        Wet chemistry and general instrumental analysis knowledge is a plus

Core Responsibilities:

·       Manage buying process for parts and materials in line with budgets, quality and delivery targets

·       Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships

·       Negotiate contracts, improved pricing & terms with suppliers; review opportunities and make recommendations for business savings

Reports to Shipping Manager

Core Responsibilities:

·       Accept, inspect, pack and monitor merchandise coming and leaving the company’s warehouse

·       Create shipping documents, communicate with forwarders and collaborate with other departments for on-time deliveries

·       Receive, process and distribute daily incoming deliveries; report shortages and issues

·       Prepare daily shipments including cleaning, boxing and packing

·       Process orders based upon customers preferred shipping methods (UPS, Overnight, etc.)

·       Adhere to shipping schedule to meet deadlines

·       Update shipping and receiving logs

·       Maintain a safe and clean work area

·       Assist stock/inventory with placement of deliveries as needed

·       Special assignments or projects as required

Qualifications:

·       3 + years’ experience in shipping and receiving preferably in a manufacturing environment

·       Must be knowledgeable of FedEx, UPS, DHL shipping tools, creating Bills of Lading for freight shipments and how to create international documentation for customs clearance
