Reports to: Manager of Global Technical Support
Core responsibilities
- Complete repairs and test complex microprocessor-controlled electromechanical systems performance to customer satisfaction
- Repair, build, test, and implement upgrade kits
- Create procedures and other related documentation for customers in the field
- Coordinate multiple projects and customer issues in a timely manner
- Prepare action plans for problem resolution
Qualifications
- Technical support background is required with installations, preventative maintenance, and remedial repair on complex electro-mechanical equipment
- Experience with final assembly, test or quality control technical support with closed-loop communication controls, electro-mechanical controls, and microprocessors based controls, software configuration, computer network architecture
- Must possess the ability to interpret electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
- bachelor’s or Associates degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Willing to travel to customer locations (up to 20% now, >50% in future)
